The son of Hamor, who slept with Dinah, Jacob’s daughter, and then asked Jacob for her hand in marriage. He, Hamor, and the people in the city of Shechem subsequently were circumcised as part of the marriage agreement, and, three days later, were killed by Simeon and Levi and their city looted (Genesis 34:2-8, 11-27).
