The place Lot chose to settle when there was a strife between his and Abram’s herdmen (Genesis 13:10-11). It is also noted in 1 Kings 7:46 and 2 Chronicles 4:17 as the place where Solomon cast many items of brass for the temple, specifcally “in the clay ground between Succoth and Zarthan.”
