A deity the Moabites worshipped as their supreme god. Details about him are sparse in the Bible, but we know that Solomon built a shrine to him east of Jerusalem (1 Kings 11:7) that King Josiah, one of Solomon’s successors, later destroyed (2 Kings 23:13).
