A town in the low country of Judah (Joshua 15:35). Its king, Piram, was one of the five who conspired to punish Gibeon for having made alliance with Israel (Joshua 10:3, 5), and who were routed at Beth-horon and put to death by Joshua at Makkedah (Joshua 10:23). Its site is probably the modern Yarmuk.
