Deuteronomy 7

Summary
Israel is instructed to destroy all seven of the nations of the Canaanites. Marriage between Israelites and Canaanites is strictly forbidden. Israel’s mission is to be a unique and exemplary people to all nations. To those who trust the Lord and keep His commandments, the Lord will show mercy. If the Israelites are obedient, the Lord will remove sickness and disease from them.
