Summary
Those who are righteous thirst for God and His words. The wicked, in contrast, mock the righteous.

| (2) My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God? | (2) My soul thirsteth for to see God, for to see the living God. When shall I come and appear before thee, O God? |
| (3) My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, Where is thy God? | (3) My tears have been poured out unto thee day and night, while mine enemies continually say unto me, Where is thy God? |
