God directs Moses to gather the elders of Israel to tell them that the Lord is aware of them and will bring them out of the land of Egypt. God also tells Moses that they will hearken to him, and they will come with him to Pharaoh to ask him to let them go into the wilderness and sacrifice to the Lord God.
