Bible References

Genesis 19:8, 12-16, 30-38

Lot had multiple daughters while he dwelt in Sodom, though none of their names are specified. Only two were unmarried at the time Sodom was destroyed (Genesis 19:8). Lot’s sons in law refused to leave and were destroyed in Sodom, presumably with the daughters that they had married (Genesis 19:12-16). Lot’s two unmarried daughters who fled Sodom tricked their father into becoming drunk so they could have children through their father. Their children, Moab and Ben-ammi, are the progenitors of the Moabites and Ammonites (Genesis 19:30-38).
